German manufacturer Enercon has completely subsumed Lagerwey into its business and is planning a leap in to the 5MW class, based on the Dutch firm’s technology. The first turbine models Enercon and Lagerwey jointly developed — based on Lagerwey’s (L136) LP4 direct-drive platform — will soon be launched under the Enercon umbrella.
